My Journey to Creating a Pomodoro Timer with Electron

My Journey to Creating a Pomodoro Timer with Electron

  • 10 May 2025

When I first discovered the Pomodoro Technique, I couldn’t find an app that had everything I wanted—so I built one. Using Electron, I created a desktop Pomodoro timer with focus and break sessions, sound alerts, a system tray icon, and customizable durations. The process was challenging but rewarding, and I spent a lot of time making the experience intuitive and visually clear.

After several iterations and some user testing, I released it publicly. It’s no longer just a personal tool but something I hope helps others stay focused. I’m open to feedback and excited to explore new features in future versions—if you’re curious about productivity tools or the Pomodoro Technique, feel free to reach out.
